Antique Vintage Wood Shaft Gunmetal Mallet ZoZo Putter Player D 7 SW

Description: This item is an antique vintage right-handed 34 1/2" wood shaft putter. Army Navy London faintly visible on the crown. No makers name visible but most likely made in Scotland by Anderson. It is their ZoZo model that has a metal face insert that was actually removable (not sure if you could remove this one-I haven't tried) so that weight could be added behind the plate. The head is made of gunmetal/brass. The head is in good condition. Yes, it has the expected play nicks and dings but is not damaged. Please look at the many zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. The shaft is straight, I see no cracks and it has some play at the hosel. The grip is a newer long leather wrap that is in good vintage condition. Heavy D 7 swingweight. If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. Always re-set heads prior to play if it hasn't already been done. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.
