Description: I am offering for sale this Antique Vintage Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 17 Ca 1942-45 Smooth Plane Inv#AC32w This is a wartime Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 17, Ca 1942-45 USA smooth plane that is in "as found" condition. It would clean up well. The plane's original red japanning is in fine condition. The knob is tight and secure, it has typical minor wear to finish. The tote has no cracks or repairs. The plane measures 9-1/4" L x 2-1/8" W. NOTE: The right cheek has been welded, the sole has a few scratches but no other issues. The cutter has some pitting & oxidation, it has a Stanley notched No 3 (12-003) Made in USA logo. It measures: 6-1/4" x 1-3/4" W. I always suggest sharpening cutter to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. It weighs 2.15 lbs. “Photos are an integral part of this item's description.
