Description: Antique Vintage Persian hand made Prayer Rug c1950 7ft Aden , Yemen My father worked with the British Govt in Aden throughout the 1950s. This rug was purchased during that time. His mother visited him in the early 50s and I have attached photos of her purchasing the rug from Arabs on a Dhow . I don't know if the rug was new at the time but I'm sure it would have been as new , hand made locally. The rug has two hand symbols one end for use as a prayer mat or decoration. It is now probably 70+ years old and is worn. Some of the photos show the reverse of the rug , which is slightly darker as not so exposed to the sun and shows a repair patch. It measures c7ft (c84" x c34") It will be sent Insured and tracked
