Description: 4 Anttique 100% Horse Hair Chair Seat Covers - Made in Germany in the 1930'sBlack- 17 inches deep, 16 inches wide in the back, 17 inches wide in the front.- Set of four covers.- Great condition - minor sun fading along the edges of three of the covers.- Woven jaquard/ damask type pattern.- Only used indoors, though these are great for indoor or outdoor.- Super strong fabric- High-end quality from a custom-built dining room set made by Rohrer Möbelfabrik in Germany in around 1935.From pet free, nonsmoking, super-clean home. These belonged to my grandmother - my grandfather had a custom diningroom set built by Rohrer for her after they got married in 1933. They are still in business today in Stuttgart - my grandmother ran their accounting office back then. These were on the seats of the armchairs that came with that set.My grandparents owned a home-furnishing/ upholstery business near Stuttgart back then - they only used the highest quality on everything, always. So these were definitely not cheap back then.We removed them 20 years ago when we reupholstered the chairs, but have been holding onto them since then. It's time for these to find a new purpose - they will fit right into any of your fancy interior design makeovers, furniture refinishing, or just making your old chairs look like almost new again.
