Description: Rare old saw. Looks to be from around mid 1800s -1870's. Marked BUEHLER & HOWAR (HOWARD) on the blade and also marked PHILADA for Philadelphia (AKA the saw hub of the USA in the mid to late 1800s) and has a number 4 stamped below. The makers mark might just be Buehler & Howar instead of Howard. The name is stamped on blade and used a 30x magnifier and don't see a D at the end of Howar. The saw has a 26" blade with roughly 9 teeth per inch. The handle has a larger 1" sized medallion with a eagle. Has split nuts on the other side. The handle is slightly loose but can be tightened up. The blade has patina but also some spots of rust but not bad. A saw worth a restoration. Handle is solid with normal wear and minor chips. There is a partial stress crack on the handle where your palm sits. Comes as seen in pics. Any questions just ask. Please see the shipping details for shipping prices. There are 4 shipping options. All shipping options will be available at checkout.
