Description: For sale this week is a wonderful miniature drawing of some Egyptian ruins with pyramids and a minaret in the background. It is signed by the artist J.F. Hoper and dated 1852. It is one of three drawings by the same artist I am selling this week, all cut from a scrapbook album. The drawing is on green card backed by thick cream paper and is highlighted by Chinese White and watercolour. It measures about 9 by 14 centimeters. The image is a strong one and beautifully drawn.
