The hinged top depicts a woodland scene with a stag and 2 deer or fawns. The back features a screen over unidentified soft material. The Norene hat pin was designed for multiple functions. A pair of them could be joined by putting the stem of each through the screen of the other. Alternatively, the screened compartment could be used as a vinaigrette.
