Description: This Mother of Pearl satin blue shaded glass ewer was made by many companies in America and Europe. It was produced in the late 19th century by a technique using two or more layers of mold blown glass that have internal indentations that aid in trapping air bubbles between the layers of glass. The pattern on this piece is known as diamond quilt. It has an applied frosted handle and a pontil mark on the bottom. The finish is silky smooth. A delightful little cabinet piece to add to your art glass collection. The ewer is in excellent condition with no damage but does have a small unmelted black spec in the white lining as seen in the photos. Please look at all the photos as they are part of the description. Shipping to the continental US only.
