Description: Unknown Tile Maker, circa early 1900's or even earlier Could have been made by American Encaustic Tiling Co of Zanesville, OH This antique border tile has alternating black and gold glazing on a half round surface. Has the appearance of twisted rope. LISTING IS FOR 1 TILE, but we have a small quantity, all shown in photo 6. Tile measures 4 1/4" long x 2" wide x up to 1" thick. Has been salvaged-minor wear, but overall in very good condition. Photo 7 shows 3 tiles, 2x2" with a floral motif (only 2 left) and same glaze colors, available for sale-see photos 8 & 9 to get an idea of how they look with the border tile. Photo 10 shows some odd pieces that can also be used. Contact us if interested in more than the 1 border tile.
