Description: This is an original antique (late 19th century) art nouveau style Victorian picture frame with patterns burned into the surface by pyrography, featuring textures borders, daisies and leaves. The original finish is intact including bold yellows and greens on the daisies. The back is stamped Flemish Art Co of New York. Condition is excellent. There is one small piece of green daisy stem missing but only very minor, light surface wear elsewhere. The cardboard back panel is securely attached along the bottom and one side, but it loose along the top so a photo could be easily slid into place, but some tape or glue might be needed to secure it. There is an old piece of wire looped through the back that was used for a hanger. Inside the frame is the original wavy glass and an old folded newspaper comic. Outer dimensions of the frame are 8" W x 10" H and the opening for the photo measures about 4" x 5 1/2". It will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping.
