Description: Up for auction is a wonderful rare find. It is a Shari Langlois, New York Powder Box with a black glass base. The powder box fits into the base that has an octagonal ridge that exactly fits the box. The lid or cover is clear glass and it is also octagonal. The base of the powder box itself is cardboard but it is expertly covered in silk that has a very Asian pattern with blooming flowers, butterflies and exotic birds. The powder box is empty but the lovely fragrance of Naturelle lingers. This wonderful ensemble is from the 1920's. The base measures 5 3/8" in diameter and the piece measures 2 1/4" tall.
