Description: This antique covered butter dish is a beautiful addition to any antique glass collection. Made by the United States Glass Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania starting in 1910, it features the Mayflower (aka Duquesne) pattern with a clear glass body and gold overlay. Measuring 8.25 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches in height, it is a round, flower-edged shape that weighs 2 pounds and 10.7 ounces. The dish is an original pressed glass piece and has a vintage Edwardian style. It is perfect for use as a decorative piece or for serving butter at a dinner party. It would make a great gift for any collector or lover of antique glassware. The covered butter dish is in good antique condition. The has two issues: first is a crack along one section (see picture #5) and the second is a small chip on the underside of the edge (see picture #6). The cover is in excellent shape, with no chips or cracks. The gold overlay has worn off of both pieces, although the gist of it is still visible.
