Description: Beautiful antique kilim from the Aydin, Turkey region. Probably first half of the 20th century, possibly earlier. Interesting, rare border. The “zig zags” and inner “ram horns” are mostly an aubergine color. Probably a mix of natural and synthetic colors.Good condition for age with some wear, scattered numerous repairs, minor stains, some missing supplementary weft outlining, etc. One side has some fading especially to the left and center in the last photograph, which to my eye, is more noticeable in person than the photograph. The kilim has been hand washed. Seethe photographs.
