Description: Great, rare (?) 1/6th plate sized thermoplastic case for daguerreotype Ambrotype or tintype photos. I searched high and low for another case like this and the only one I found for sale was on Etsy for $2800! I did also find it cataloged by The library of congress but with no real information. I am not an expert on these items but examining the case with the naked eye it appears to be in very good condition, with no cracks or noticeable chips. I welcome any information you might have about the case. **PLEASE NOTE: cost of shipping will include insurance. I always very carefully package my items, BUT If there is an issue that occurs during shipping, ie lost, crushed box etc it will be handled through the USPS. That’s what insurance is for!
