Description: Wonderful late 19th century short cylinder music box with 8 Airs, c. 1890. Features a rosewood inlay hinged lid with glass cover and original tune card marked 8 Airs 26158 with tunes listed. Box measures 17” long x 7 ¼” wide x 5 ¼” high, comb measures slightly over 6” long. Music box does play when cranked, the stop/play lever is working, the change/repeat does not seem to be connected, the handle crank is difficult to rotate though but does work and will play as shown so needs some repair, unknown losses to teeth.
