Description: For sale I have a sterling silver trinket / jewellery box. It is round with a hinged lid and 3 fleur de lis legs. The silver is plain with a slight dome to the lid. This was made by Robert Pringle and hallmarked for Chester 1916. The inside has been lined in aqua blue silk over a light padding and the base covered in green leather. The silver is in very good condition with no splits, pitting or excess rubbing. There are a couple of small dings to the side and one tiny one on the lid, please look at the pictures closely. There is a small nibble on the rim of the lid near to the hinge which is probably from when it was made. The inside of the lid has been gilded and has the hallmark, as does the side of the box, which are clear to read. The lid is attached with a substantial silver hinge and opens and closes snugglyDimensions are 7cm diameter at its widest x 3.5cm high. (2.75" x 1.45") Please view all of the pictures as they form part of the description and message if you require more detail.
