Description: Allow us to present to you this stunning sterling silver mesh purse handbag. This handbag was made in France, imported into England by Paul Ettlinger, and assayed in London in 1911. It features beautiful floral patterns along the outer frame. Possibly the most unique aspect of this piece is that it boasts not one, but 3 compartments. There are two main sides and one small coin compartment in the middle. All compartments are intact and separated by mesh. Hallmarks:It has French hallmarks on one side of the outer frame. There is also the import sponsor mark for Paul Ettlinger and London Assay marks with a "q" date code from 1911 and "925" mark used for imports during that time. In addition to all these hallmarks, each link in the chain handle is marked with "925." We've included pictures of all hallmarks to the best of our ability. Condition:It is in exceptionally good condition. No dings or dents and no damage to the chain mesh. Both snap clasps work well and it stays closed securely. Measurements:The outer frame measures about about 5" across. It measures about 5" from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the mesh when laid flat. Weight:It weighs a respectable 217 grams / 6.97 troy ounces of solid sterling silver. Notes:Pictures are of the exact item you will receive with your purchase and are an important part of this item's description.
