Description: Antique stereoview - Dedication of Grant’s Tomb - USS Maine, sold by Griffith & Griffith, made by American and Foreign Views, standard size, curved mount. From my research, this view is from 1896-1897 or thereabouts. Grant’s Tomb was dedicated in 1897 and a big celebration was held. The USS Maine was destroyed in 1898. It is in fair to good condition - some wear/bumps/chipping on corners and edges, some soiling, still fairly bright.
