Opinions I fully respect: tote looks to be a replacement. Knob is original, damaged, and the bolt is bent. Iron is a later replacement. Flat back, and rectangle spring, iron cap is a type 2. Brass nut, with patent date, is type 2. Body, unmarked, is original. A perfect candidate to restore to the buyer's liking. I've been a Stanley plane hunter for a decade and a half.
