Description: These came with an auction joblot I bought a few years ago. From my research I estimate they were manufactured at the turn of the 20th Century. Joseph Rogers was Sheffield's most famous knife maker, owner of the Star & Cross Trademark. The fork has a hairline crack either side of the handle collar but it is still tight and perfectly usable. Overall the set is in very good condition with only light marks to the silver plate. The handles could possibly be bone based on the look. The knife is etched with a floral design. The ferrules have no markings. The knife measures 11.4 inches and the fork 9 inches. Please see photos and item specifications which forms part of the description.
