Description: This is a very unusual battery. The exterior of the battery is wood! Made by the Chloride of Silver Dry Cell Battery Company, patent date April 21, 1891. Silver Chloride is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Depending on the purity, it will cost you at least $50 for 10 grams! To my amazement, the battery still did output voltage after 100+ years (see last picture). Eat your heart out Energizer Bunny! The battery is 3 5/8" tall, 1 3/4" wide, and 1" thick. It weighs 4.6 ounces (130 grams).
