E. McNEIL'S CIGAR STORE" which was located in the town of SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA THIS IS A RARE SAN DIEGO MERCHANT TO FIND, IN FACT IT WAS UNLISTED IN THE FIRST KAPPEN CALIFORNIA TOKEN CATALOG, BUT DID GET CATALOGED IN THE SUPPLEMENTAL BOOK..... AS IT COMES OUT OF LIFETIME COLLECTION OF SAN DIEGO TOKENS....THESE TYPE ANTIQUE CARDBOARD TOKENS DONT SURVIVE LIKE THEIR METAL COUNTERPARTS These antique scrip style or cardboard tokens are usually worn, and obviously cannot be "dug" or metal detected.....this one is super nice condition, and very thick like silver dollar thickness This is a super rare to find old token …came out of a lifetime collection of San Diego County tokens. Watch for future listings. Believe this is early.I AM ALWAYS AMAZED HOW TOUGH IT IS TO FIND OLD TOKENS FROM SAN DIEGO…YES, A LARGE CITY TODAY, BUT THEY ARE JUST TOUGH TO FIND. Trade token is orange cardboard, round, about 38mm in diameter, and both sides are the same, in great shape, and fully readable and overall displays very nicely.
