Description: LARGE RUSSIAN ANTIQUE HAND HAMMERED COPPER KETTLE Dovetailed with Goose neck spout.......the spout is brass / not copper 11 & 1/2 " high and 11 " wide Handle is flat and swivels nicely. There are no holes - the diameter is 7" at the bottom There are two dents - one on each side of the bottom Photos show dark round spots on lid but these are only some sort of thick green wax which I do not want to remove with any chemicals I do not know how to clean antique copper very well and I have, over many decades, kept most of my metal antiques "dirty" The kettle is heavy and I am told that it is of Russian origin. This is from a huge collection of metal items from my father's shop in Brooklyn which closed several decades ago. "Old Brassware" was located on Coney Island Ave near Dorchester Rd. in Flatbush and it was filled with everything made of metal. My father also bought large amounts of architectural metal from NYC buildings as they were torn down or renovated during the 1950s through the 1970s. Much of it came from churches, synagogues and public buildings. Sorry, I have no idea where this particular item came from. My items are mailed within a day or two after receiving Pay Pal Payment. Everything is mailed securely and properly. I respond quickly to all inquiries I will accept returns if I have inaccurately described any item.
