Description: Antique Regency Spode Purple Staffordshire Geranium Comport Footed Bowl 1818 Offered for sale is this early, Regency purple transfer printed pearlware oval footed comport by Spode with scalloped rim and ornate molded handles. The dish is in the Geranium pattern, first introduced in 1818. Printed Spode mark on base. The blue tint of the pearlware glaze can been seen where it pools in the join between foot and bowl. The comport is 14 1/4 inches long by 9 1/2 inches wide by 5 3/8 inches tall. It weighs 2 lbs 5 oz (shipping weight 5 lbs). Condition: Excellent condition.
