Description: This antique 3 piece silver plate tea set is truly a masterpiece of craftsmanship. A Greek key pattern runs along the top of each piece; intricate patterns grace the sides of these octagon shaped vessels. On the top of the teapot is a goat finial. On each piece, one side has a center design and on the opposite side, a place where it can be monogramed. Reed & Barton made many different styles of tea sets, but I could not find a perfect match for this one, making me think it was a rare design. I truly wish I knew more about this unique set. The condition is also quite amazing - not a spot of tarnish on the outside. Each piece is clean and is a shimmery silver. There are only a few light scratches. Its original owner took great care of this tea set. It is in lovely antique condition for a tea set over 100 years old. It will be carefully wrapped for shipping.
