Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Joseph-Louis-Hippolyte Bellange' after own design. Joseph-Louis-Hippolyte Bellange (French; 1800-1866) worked as a pupil together with Charlet. He developed the same interest in Napoleonic subject matter. Like Charlet he produced a great number of lithographs. Lithographic printer: Eugene Marie Francois le Villain (active 1820-1830's) was a French lithographer and printer in the early 19th century in Paris. His print shop was famous and higly frequented among the artists of his time. Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Grenadier (Infanterie de Ligne).' - It shows a French grenadier, an infantry linesman.Condition: Very good, given age. Some small stains on print. Print has been in matting, discolouration on print. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear of the sheet. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
