Has some tarnish, dust, dirt, scratches, marks , etc. Has some old wax built up in spots, on the bottom. Good patina all around and nice age, we're thinking late 19th to early 20th. Looks very much like it is handmade with whatever the person had. The hinges are brazed on and look original to the lantern. Copper brazing was used to weld it together and the joints/construction in general is really good. Nice hammered ring handle. It is all very sturdy and has very nice weight.
