Description: Antique invoice and check from the pre-prohibition J.K. Souther & Sons Brewery in Boston, MA. The invoice is dated Oct. 18, 1898 from The De La Vergne Refrigerating Machine Company for "moving old condenser + making connections". The first handwritten sheet lists the billable labor hours for a foreman, machinist, and laborer. The second sheet lists the cost of parts/materials. Attached to the front is the check (dated Jan 16, 1899) used to pay the bill. The three sheets are attached in the upper left corner using a small finishing nail (staplers were not in common use at the time). For size reference, the largest sheet measures about 9*.5" x 8.5". Condition is as seen in photos. Fading, discoloration, creases, worn edges, and other wear. There is a small tear in the labor hours sheet. It hard to see unless you separate the two sides (see last two photos). Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!! 105714
