Description: For your consideration is this antique postcard. This postcard does not bear a publisher's mark. The front side is adorned with a lovely lithograph of a red carnation with a window beneath where someone had written "Greetings from Anding, Miss". In the language of flowers, the deep red carnation conveys feelings of deep love and affection. The backside bears a 1¢ stamp and was postmarked in Andover, Mississippi during the early 1900s (the postmark year extends over the stamp and is unable to be read). This came in a lot of postcards addressed to Miss Lucy Warren of Dixon, Mississippi dating from 1906 until 1912. There is some edge wear and discoloration to the backside typical of paper of this age. Lovely piece of ephemera.Shop with confidence when you shop with us.
