I recently acquired a pair of scarce Birds Eye Views of towns in New Jersey. I am offering them both this week. Quite scarce examples. Lithographed bird's-eye view and map prospectus outlining a coastal community in the Shrewsbury estuary, Monmouth County, NJ. Done on banknote paper measuring 22x28 inches with wide margins. Original folds and wrinkles, with some tears along the folds and some minor edge wear. A little discoloration in the lower right corner and a few other spots. Referenced in Reps #2391. I have been able to find two institutional holdings and no historical auction records. Created in Boston by the National View Company, circa 1890. Pictures are a good indication of condition.
