Description: Here is a beautiful ornate fragment made from metal thread. Although purchased in Poland, the original origin is unknown. It is an antique piece with lots of gorgeous work. As I said the origin of this work is unknown since metal thread embroidery developed in different parts of the world. Usually they come from areas where there were gold and other fine metals used for making jewelry etc. These pieces take hours of painstaking work to do and would compliment any decor. If you are handy making pillows then this is for you. But you don't have to use it for that, the possibilities are endless. It dates back to late 1800's if not earlier I was told. It is in relatively good condition for being so old. There is an area on left hand corner that some blue beads are missing but they are not falling off. Please see pictures. It measures 23 1/2 by 17 end to end.
