This base is signed on the thumb screws Pilabrasco which is the early Pittsburgh, Brass, Lamp & Glass Co. logo. The base has at some time been rewired with a brown cloth period cord and an old plug. SHIPPING DISCLOSURE I have tried my best to keep shipping cost low but the rates just keep getting higher and higher. I ship using the U. S Postal Service as I find them the safest shipper. The shipping cost to the Midwest and far west is so much more than what I have to deal with here in the Northeast. I have struggled with doing this as I didn't want to lose my bidders/buyers west of me but it just adds up to too much money in the long run. Please understand I do this very reluctantly, as such, I am adding 20% to anything being shipped to zip codes that begin with the number 5,6 or 7 and 33% to anything being shipped to zip codes 8 and 9. Example $40.00 regular shipping cost to zip code that begin with 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 is just that $40.00. These items are commensurate with age, meaning they are old. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I really don't want to do a refund because the finial ( typically a 10.00 piece ) isn't perfect on a 2,000.00 lamp. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. It seems the more experienced an antique dealer or buyer is, the more understanding of condition they are.
