Description: This is an 1800's Antique Pewter Porringer that was my grandmothers. The King, Whitcher and Randell Families were my relatives of long ago from New Hampshire. The "Norman" mentioned in the note was my father. The Whitcher's were particularly noteworthy in NH. The book: The Bear that Heard Her Crying is "A fictionalized retelling of the true story of three-year-old Sarah Whitcher, who, in 1783, became lost in the woods of New Hampshire and was protected by a bear until her rescue four days later." A pretty amazing story and my family was part of it. You can be part of our story! Be a part of this truly remarkable history and please-tell our story.
