Description: This circa 1900 Peking Chinese Oriental rug measures 2‘2“ x 4‘9“. It has male deer in two colors of blue with a large bird overhead with white feathers and a blue beak swiping down under a blue tree with dark blue leaves. In one corner is a checkerboard design in blue, ivory and brown. The other corner has a lightning motif in three shades of blue and ivory. All is on a light tobacco ground surrounded by lazy ‘S’ light blue designs on a dark blue ground. The major border consists of four pairs of circles with floral designs on a camel hair ground matching the field color. The corners have a lattice design. This rug is full pile with complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go.
