Description: Old oval plateMade by GREENWOOD CHINA COMPANY, LOCATED IN TRENTON, NJ Stamped A. Weiscopf Greenwood China Boston. The plate is 9 1/2 inches long and has a very pretty floral design around the border and in the middle of the plate. It is heavy and well made. There are no chips or cracks. It does have some utensil scratches from being used but its in good shape. This is a popular design that was used in few restaurants such as The Colonnade, Soulas Cafe (last two pictures)The later versions of the same design are stamped as E.L. Weiscopf.Edwin LeRoy Weiscopf took over the business from his father August Weiscopf around 1900-1910. This plate is stamped A. Weicopf. The dating of this plate is quite different online (one of examples attached). I would date this plate as 1880-1890. Weight (unpacked) is around 1.5 Lbs.
