Description: Antique Ornate Wooden Chair Back Made Into Primitive Wallhanger. According to a family member from the estate sale is the following: The daughter wanted to keep her parents dining set when they went into a long-term care facility. Being older chairs when she got them, add in three rambunctious growing boys, and the chairs were not holding up. This was her way of saving a piece of that dining room set. She took off the back and turned it into a wall hanger. (At the time of listing their is a rocker style back also that she did the same with. Please see my other listings if you are interested.) This chair back had been painted white at some point, and the paint has been removed for the most part. There is a bit remaining, but it's hard to see in the photos. It is such light wood that the details are hard to see in the photos. If you are handy with woodworking, perhaps going over the lines again with a router or even a darker stain would bring out the details better. It measures 18" across x 9" tall x " wide.
