Description: Wonderful craftsmanship in a Roycroft style Mission Arts & Crafts Movement book holder. The attention to detail incorporated into this oak and red mahogany piece, tells you its the real deal. This is the only one seen that has a solid bottom made with what appears to be red mahogany. What is so cool, is the artist stained the two oak end panels a red mahogany like the bottom, and did the rest of the piece in the traditional dark oak. It is a very interesting look to have two different stains on the same piece of wood. The book holder measures 15" x 6" and is almost an inch thick, with the mahogany piece attached to the bottom, and weighs 1 lb.10 oz.. One more thing: I have been told that the solid bottom may keep the BOOKWORMS from slipping into your books! (Sorry, I just had to get that in.). Please inspect all photos to determine condition of item.
