Antique Nippon Hand Painted Porcelain Asian Moriage Dessert Dish Set/5

Description: Antique Nippon Morimura Hand Painted Porcelain Asian Moriage Dessert Dish Set/5 A (5) piece Nippon dish set, that includes a large cake/dessert platter with handles and (4) dessert dishes. Hand painted in an Asian inspired motif, using bright colors and moriage within beautifully decorated Japanese landscapes, pagodas and temples. The borders are all painted in heavy gold gilt along with the handles of the serving plate. The marking is green and displays a capital M in the center of a wreath, which shows it was distributed by the Morimura Brothers, starting around the year 1911. The serving dish is 11" X 10" and the smaller dishes are 6 1/2" in diameter. Together they weigh 2 lbs. 14 ounces.In very good antique condition, there is (1) small chip on the underside edge of one of the dessert dishes. Please see the last photo in the series for a close up; hard to see from the front of the dish.
