Wood appears to be elm. Probably 18th century. Carved handle integral to the bowl. Probably Eastern Woodlands Native American. CONDITION Overall excellent. Delightful "make do" repairs with hand forged iron straps and nails. Rich, dark brown / black age patina, suggestive of much use and a very early age (all visible in the images).
