Description: From my collection, this is an antique Native American Plains Indian doll created at the turn of the 20th century. I was told when I found him that he was made by the Lakota Sioux in the Dakotas. A handwritten note came with him that says "Sioux Indian child's doll found near Chamberlain, So. Dakota. Tanned hide, face, vest and moccasins. Beadwork on vest, pants and moccasins. Calico Shirt. Buffalo Hair. Very old. Early 1900s". He is in a rare, smaller size." His tall hat is felted wool. His beading is so well done. I have taken quite a few photos so it can be seen. He stands just 9” tall, and that includes the hat. If you love dolls of this kind please check my store. I am listing two others and am always happy to combine things to save postage.
