ANTIQUE MZ AUSTRIA/EVERETT STUDIO HANDPAINTED VIOLETS PORCELAIN BASKET EXC.COND.

Description: Beautiful Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Basket made by Moritz Zdekauer in Altrohlau, Austria and marked "MZ Austria" - then imported to US by Everett Studio and hand painted with a lovely violet design and heavily gilded on handle and rim of basket. It is marked "MZ Austria" and signed "Everett" and marked "Everett Studio Hand Painted" on bottom. It also has an impressed no. on bottom "1173" with the numeral "1" below that. MZ Austria is the mark Moritz Zdekauer used from 1884 to 1909 at his factory in Altrohlau. He exported a great many items to US and they were then hand painted by companies such as Pickard and Everett Studio, and sold in high end jewelry and gift stores. Most of their production was plates and cup and saucer sets; so it's more unusual to find a basket such as this. It measures 4 1/2 inches in height and has a diameter of approximately 4 3/8 inches. This is a lovely piece - photos don't do it justice - and I'm priced very reasonably. 1. All items I sell either come from or have been stored in a smoke free environment and are sold “as-is”. UPS/Fedex may be slightly more expensive; however, they handle shipments quickly and carefully and are much more reliable and reputable in the unlikely event of damage/loss!
