Description: CONDITION: Excellent, no defects. This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in 1968. It is marked and retains the original paper label. The artist’s name, Hans Achtzinger, is impressed on the bottom. The figurine measures 5 1/4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide. The monkey is well modeled and hand painted. The piece is of highly delicate nature, with tiny leaves and spindly tail. Hutschenreuther had a flair for these fragile figurines. This appears to be a Capuchin monkey from Central American. They were the monkeys the organ grinders used to partner with. #E779 IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on.
