Description: Antique Handmade Theater Marionette Puppet Doll ~ Lady in Coral Fancy Dress with Black Velvet/Velour What a lovely old piece this is. She is no longer attached to her wooden piece as her strings are delicate and tore. I don't really find any stains on her. The only flaw with her dress is I find a few tiny pencil point size holes (ex photo 22) and her clothing is wrinkled. Also her blue yarn hair is delicate and some is missing. She has a few stick pins attaching her clothing to her body. Some of the joints the thread is loose (ex photo 11). Hand painted Face.Her dress is a coral color not red as it appears in some of the photos. Purchased her and a few others from a collector who stated they were from the early 1930's.Measures 11 1/" longWe buy most of our pieces at auctions & flea markets, so we may not know the history of the item.
