Description: Breathtaking, antique, Limoges dessert/cake set. Purchased originally from a high-end antique shop that handled estate pieces from the East coast. Service for twelve (large cake plate plus 12 serving plates). Marked GDA France. GDA appears to stand for Gérard, Dufraissex & Abbot and the Green Wreath mark likely dates 1900-1953. Lovely peach and blue flowers and pink roses, turquoise blue accent points, soft yellow ribbon banding, and lots of gold accents and gold edging. Serving plates are a generous 8" in diameter. Cake/dessert plate measures about 12.5" in diameter. It is *rare* to find a complete service like this in great shape! Excellent condition. No chips or cracks to any pieces, a few slight flakes on the underside/bottom of some plates, which is typical, and often original to the manufacture. There are light surface scratches, and/or slight gold wear to the centers, on some of the pieces, including the cake plate. From a smoke free home. Stunning for cabinet or wall display or use for a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday!
