Description: This item for sale is an antique, very old, hand wrought from sterling silver spoons snuff box with carved shell top form the late 1700 to early 1800's. It is in great shape considering age. Hinge works, stays closed well, but top shell has cracks. It weighs 33.6 grams and measures 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches. The whole top is hand chased. I was told it belonged to a sea captain, but no way of proving this information. Was purchased on Cape Cod. A great addition to your collection.
