Following is his description of this piece: "A Bidjar rug, handmade in Persian Kurdistan C.1875-1895. Excellent condition, note original end finish at both ends. No major repairs or damage. The design is an earlier version of illustration #762 in PRJ Ford's "The Oriental Carpet". The "wool on wool" example features a free-floating open design with fine translucent colors and bold abrash. Note that the design floats away behind the frame, implying an infinite repeat."
