Description: Antique Kings Pattern Silver Plated Gravy / Basting Spoon EPNS A1 Wishbone 34cm Very large gravy spoon in the Kings Pattern. Marked to the back A1 SEPNS with a wishbone symbol. The A1 stands for top quality silver plating, the "S" possibly for Sheffield. The wishbone symbol is sometimes attributed to Edwin Blyde as they use a wishbone symbol but if has not been confirmed. The spoon came from an incomplete cutlery set which had some pieces with silver handles dating to 1909 so I would presume this piece is of a similar time.I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition: In a reasonable condition, there are some stubborn spots to the inside of the bowl of the spoon, the plating appears in good order and it is quite bright and shiny.
