Description: For sale is a vase made in China during the Kangxi period (double ring mark) and appears to be a rare soft paste piece according to a dealer who knows more than me on this topic. It was decorated in London later possibly by the James Giles studio. The porcelain quality is superb and the scenes are pretty nice as well - typically English. The shape of the vase is nice as well with the foot ring sticking out a bit which is common on Chinese vases. The vase is in great condition with a firing fault on the top rim, a stained hairline on the neck and a short stained line to the top rim. The piece is marked with a double blue ring mark underneath.
