Description: Description This is a Japanese ginbari cloisonné belt buckle from the Meiji period. It's decorated with green and purple flowers and butterflies on a deep blue background. This is a great way to own a lovely piece of ginbari in a small package. Size 3 1/4" when hooked together. Condition There is some pitting in the cloisonne, which comes from the firing process. There is some loss to the counter enamel on the back underneath the hook on one side of the buckle; this seemed to have been caused by the hook on the other side of the belt when worn.
