View My Other Items For Sale This nice old clock was made by the E. Ingraham Co. in Bristol, Conn., USA during the early 1900's. It features a quality original signed and dated Ingraham 8 day time and strike mantle clock movement that is in good running order, keeping time and gonging properly. This clock counts each hour, i.e. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. on an antique cathedral style gong, and announces each half hour with a single toll. It has a beautiful old Ingraham dial and solid brass embossed bezel assembly that is very nice looking. The original paper dial is nicely aged stained and worn with some staining. The case is also quite nice. It is rare to find this style in a natural wood finish because it is so hard to strip off the original black laquer, but someone did a great job cleaning this one down. It was done a while ago, so it is once again showing age and handling marks like you would expect to find on a 100+ year old clock. It but it is in very nice condition. It measures 16" wide x 11" high x 7" deep. Up on the mantle, this is a beautiful and majestic looking clock that will add charm to any room, and is certain to be a wonderful conversation piece. This clock, if properly maintained, will easily last another lifetime. Complete with the key and pendulum, it is ready to go. If a clock is sold as "in running condition," it means that we have test run it before listing it and feel confident that it will run for you.
